We call Honey Girl's descendants
the Blue Moon Dynasty because we
think that only once in a Blue Moon can
a rancher find an individual with the
characteristics and heredity to
contribute to a breeding program what
Honey Girl has given us. In 2003 we
counted 93 children and grandchildren
from her in our kid crop, and we were
delighted to have that many. Her girls
make many embryoes, are caring mothers,
give bountiful milk and convert feed too
well sometimes. Her billies just plain
guarantee good kids. They are the
dependable, go-to billies day in and day
out. Now Honey Girl is old like us, and
like us, she will live out her days here
at the ranch.
