7A+ Extended Family

East Texas Goat People...
At our Tyler sale we were especially pleased that so many East Texas Goat People bought some of our best goats.

One group of six friends and neighbors bought three of our favorites: San Saba, his mother Paintbrush, and 6036from a 50% Kaptein nanny and Rawhide. Since they are all good friends it wouldn't surprise us if they swapped genetics from those goats.

Four Ladies went into partnership on San Saba: Jackie Brown, B.J. Burkett, Nancy McKinnie, and Diana Payne. They all live in the same general area, spreading from Nacogdoches to Jacksonville – the same area we called home (along with this Divide ranch) for about thirty-three years.

And I have it from a reliable source that San Saba is receiving really special treatment which I know he loves because he sees himself as a cuddly lap goat and wants to be hugged. San Saba is one of the many Paintbrush kids from Liveoak. That combination made such good goats we implanted embryos from it three different years.

San Saba has his own page on Diana Payne's website.

I have a tip from their website person that he will soon be on websites for his other two nice lady owners as well.

James Kyle of Lookout Valley Boers in Jacksonville, Texas, bought 7A+ Paintbrush, mother to San Saba and many more goats we are proud to claim as ones we raised. James and Ann have been our very good friends since the first few months we began to work with Boer Goats. It was the hard work of James and his many friends that made our Tyler sale go so smoothly.

The lady who works on James' website will be putting Paintbrush on there soon, I'm sure. Paintbrush is one of those precious Honey Girl daughters who have been so important to our breeding program. James has a few Zorro daughters, too.

James' website is: www.Lookoutvalleysmeatgoats.com

I don't think he ever looks at his e-mail so you better just call him at 903-586-2919. We have referred so many people to him as an expert on taking care of goats in wet country that we're considering printing up business cards with his name and address for us to pass out!

J.T. Ward, another good friend of James' bought 6036 – one of the best billy kids in the Tyler sale. The kid is from Marjorie Daw, who is 50% Kaptein - a daughter of Cloud Dancing and a Kaptein daughter. His father was Rawhide, one of our very best ever producing billies.

J.T. is another one of those kind-hearted East Texans who worked at our sale every day. We truly appreciate him and all those others who helped us out so much.

The only picture we have of his good-looking billy goat is too much out of date to be useful. We'll put a current one here as soon as we get it.
