No one needs an introduction
to Jeanie Peterson of Udder
End Farm in Rangeley,
Colorado, because we all
know her through her
entertaining columns in the
Goat Rancher. But the
Keblingers had the privilege
of knowing Jeanie and Eric
and Emily and Rose for many
years before Jeanie’s
delightful sense of humor
and her unique talent became
available to Goat Rancher
readers. We can tell you
that all four of them are
the kind of people you wish
lived closer to you so you
could see them more often.

It all began
with Sugar Dandy |
Navasota, one of
the Petersons’
7A+ billies...
counting ants in
the dirt.. |
Jeanie has been buying goats
from us for a very long
time; in fact, she bought
the first Liveoak son we
ever sold - Sugar Dandy. At
that same time she bought a
Caliche son - Arapajo. Then
she bought nannies,
including Gretchen who won
Grand Champion Meat Goat in
a Colorado show.
Gevalia chose Jeanie on that
same trip.
|
 |
Gretchen and her
three not yet
born babies made
the trip to
Colorado in good
shape and have
been very happy
there ever
since.
|
The Petersons bought by
telephone from both of our
Kentucky sales; they bought
the high-selling nanny in
'04. And Eric and Jeanie
drove to the Texas Panhandle
to meet us to pick up a
whole trailer load of goats.
Then Jeanie came to our
final sale and was one of
the volume buyers.

To be truthful we’ve lost
count of just how many 7A+
goats live on the Udder End
Farm, but -- added up over
the years -- the Petersons
have taken many beaucoup
goats to Colorado, and we
appreciate them. We suspect
that Jeanie’s engineering of
those genetics will make
goats that all of us will be
driving to the South Slope
to buy one of these days. |
